The Aflac phone number on the line sends you to a company that charges you $ for a chat that doesn't answer your question and incurs a repeating monthly charge that appears regardless of your attempt to cancel it.
Plus, your stupid 'what happened' question required a 100-character response. I don't want to type a 100-character response!

Verified ReviewerI only wanted to pay and update payment card. No one tried hard or sound as if they cared. Explained I'm not computer savvy and cannot get into the account portal to update or set up acct.
Issue still not resolved. I still haven't updated my payment card on account.

The company need to hire compassionate employees who will be more helpful to seniors and don't mind making sure their problem is resolved. I'm very frustrated and disappointed with your company.
What I needed wouldn't have taken but a few minutes with help. I still haven't been able to pay my policy and very uncomfortable calling in again. I just let this policy go. Feelings are very hurt.

Refused to leave a business card or provide name, but took to social media to discredit company and defame me personally. I'm trying this first before lawsuit.

There is still no explanation as to what happened with my two online submissions, so I have been instructed to emailo them everything directly. Meanwhile, 2 months have passed and still no compensation.

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Eugene Mario Meadows, and I am writing to seek clarification regarding a recent denial of my insurance claim.
On June 28, 2024, I suffered a major medical incident that resulted in multiple injuries, including a broken femur which required a surgical procedure involving the insertion of a nail, a broken vertebra in my neck, and a significant laceration to my head.
Following this incident, I was transported to the UC Trauma Center and subsequently hospitalized for seven days. After my hospitalization, I was transferred by ambulance to Doverwood Nursing Facility for an additional week of recovery.
I have been unable to work since the incident and am currently at home under the care of my orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Laughlin, who has advised that I remain off work until September 3, 2024. I am currently using crutches as I work to regain mobility in my knee.
I have also had follow-up appointments with both Dr. Laughlin and my neck specialist, Dr. John Ernst.
I have been a policyholder with Aflac, paying $50.00 weekly for accident insurance, hospital insurance, and short-term disability insurance.
Given the circumstances surrounding my medical condition and the coverage I have, I would appreciate your assistance in understanding the reasons for the denial of my claim.

Tina was very helpful and kind .
Tina was great , she was patient and very helpful. Was very annoyed with the process but she made it very easy and good experience.
She developed breast cancer 18 mos ago and they have refused to pay benefits. Looks like an absolute SCAM our claim. numerous delaying tactics (refile this,refile that) and denials
refused to pay benefits for a cancer policy in place for 20 yrs.
DELAY, OBFUSCATE, DENY moving toward DEFEND.

It has been four weeks since my surgery and I still have not gotten one check. I have bills to pay and no money coming in.
When I submitted my paper work I had no idea they needed more information. When I finally got a hold of someone to talk to on the phone which was very difficult she said they had no paperwork. I resubmitted what I had and when I called back they stated they had the paperwork but it was missing a date.
I then had to resubmit the paperwork again and it is still in needs more information again no one contacted me so I have to call again today for the 4 time to see what they need. I have been with this company a very long time and am disappointed with the customer service

I finally got a hold of someone but I'm waiting on the department that handles the issue of returning my money to call me back So far they've charged me now for 2 months when I canceled the policy on June 14
This company keeps transferring me to everyone else; nobody has returned my call or addressed my situation. I keep getting either hung up on, or their system is down.
They have no problem taking money but won't address returning the money.
I believe I'm being ripped off. Don't use Aflac at all!!!

On June 20, my claim payment was sent to the wrong people/wrong account number. I have been calling customer service at Aflac to get this issue fixed and rectified, to no avail.
I keep getting the runaround. I need my claim payment reissued and sent to the correct account as listed on my policy.

Ive been waiting 11 months for them to pay on a disability claim. I was told on Monday they are waiting for MUSC to fill out a questionnaire which they havent sent & theyve been looking for since the beginning of the month.
I turned them in to the SC insurance commissioner because Im about to lose everything I own. The supervisor Chris that I spoke to on Monday you could her the snarky laugh in his voice.
Im waiting to find out what is going on with the cyst in my brain & Im not taking medication because I cant afford it. They are just papering me to death.
