I got Aflac when I was single. Added my wife after we got married.

Added my daughter after she was born. I have the hospital idemnity plan that pays you so much when you are admitted and have to stay for any amount of time in the hospital. Filed a claim when my wife stayed for two days after my daughter was born. Took a few weeks because they asked for more paperwork but eventually they paid it.

Last July my daughter gets sick and stays four days in a children's hospital with a rare disease which she recovered from.

Waited a month to on a few tests to make sure she was cured and wouldn't have to spend anymore days in the hospital. Submitted the claim first week of September, got a letter a few days later saying claim denied because she wasn't covered under my insurance. Called my representative and after about a week found out she screwed up and never completely filed the paperwork to add my daughter. Took until the first week of December after many phone calls, e-mails, texts, and more paperwork for her to finally fix my insurance.

Took until the first week of February for her to fix and submit my claim, again after many phone calls, e-mails, texts and more paperwork. After several e-mails and three weeks later my representative tells me that they have lost some of my paperwork and I need to resubmit everything I have.

Just got a letter denying my claim for a second time. The reason this time is because on the paperwork I submitted it does not clearly state that she every stayed in the hospital. I submitted an itemized bill from the hospital that "clearly" shows that we were billed for three days.

Even had the room number that she stayed in on the bill.

I am currently waiting on a reply from my representative as to what exactly went wrong this time. Hopefully I can keep my composure when she does reply but there are no guarantees.
